I have just got myself a new Thinkpad T20. I am having two problems: 1) When resuming after a suspend the state of the CTRL/ALT/SHIFT keys won't be certain so I sometimes have to tap them all a few times to get it to operate.
2) The sound card is the following: Bus 0, device 5, function 0: Multimedia audio controller: Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator] (rev 1). IRQ 11. Master Capable. Latency=64. Min Gnt=4.Max Lat=24. Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xe8100000 [0xe8100fff]. Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xe8000000 [0xe80fffff]. I load the cs46xx (with kernel 2.4.0-test8) and get the following results: Sep 17 08:08:59 localhost kernel: cs461x: drain_dac, dma timeout? 32768 Sep 17 08:10:55 localhost kernel: cs461x: AC'97 read problem (ACCTL_DCV), reg = 0x1a Sep 17 08:11:02 localhost last message repeated 192 times Sep 17 08:11:03 localhost kernel: cs461x: AC'97 write problem, reg = 0x2, val = 0x1e1e Sep 17 08:11:03 localhost kernel: cs461x: AC'97 write problem, reg = 0x2, val = 0x1c1c Sep 17 08:11:03 localhost kernel: cs461x: AC'97 write problem, reg = 0x2, val = 0x1b1b The sound doesn't play. I am sure that the configuration of the software on my machine is generally correct (I unplugged the drive from my old Thinkpad 600E and plugged it into the new machine). So these issues are things that require T20 specific settings. The 600E used a different sound card with a different driver, so naturally the drivers settings have changed, but all else is the same. Any suggestions? Russell Coker
