as mailed some weeks ago, on my 390x running 2.2.16 and the oss-driver for the solo1-audiodrive, pcm sound would only work when i used the laptop in the docking station. if i used it standalone, playing samples resulted only in white noise.
now i've turned off "pci bus power management" in the bios settings, and...heureka!...sound works without the docking station, too. (this does not cure the problems with "solo1 dma timed out" the occur infrequently.) regards az -- ++ Dipl.-Ing.
