He meant, to turn that off recompiling the pcmcia-utils. Get the source of the pcmcia-utils (unless of course you're using 2.4.0-testx - but I don't assume that) and during configure you get asked if 32-bit (aka CardBus) Support should be compiled in. Say No here. kind regards, -fkr
