Does anyone have noflushd working properly? It always spins my disk back up a few seconds after spinning it down.
noflushd writes to /var/log/daemon.log on spindown. Could that be the problem? syslogd does buffer that log file (and most others). Is there any way to find out which process is accessing the disk and causing the spinup?
