[Sorry I posted this to a wrong list before; Newbie error.] I have potato on an Apple PowerBook 3400, on which LinuxPPC2000 was able to set up a (Generic) Frame Buffer Device-Xserver before. I haven't got X running on potato though (installed the xserver-fbdev.*.deb, copied the LinuxPPC XF86config, got various errors, e.g. "no valid modes found", or "can't bind port 16001"). And, which window manager would you recommend, and how do I set up the mouse with/without X?
My second big problem, the PB has a single serial modem/printer port. How can I print to this port (it initialises as tty00, whereas the modem, if connected there, uses ttyS0)? I have a StyleWriter 1200. -- Andre Berger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> from Bonn, Germany
