I tried 'debian-installer/framebuffer=false' and found it to have no effect on my computer. The option that I am using is 'video=vga16:off' and that seems to work. It takes me into what seems to be a different version of the installer, and everything runs really slow. Between each menu it brings something up that says "Debian is determining the current state of your system...." (or maybe this has always been there and now it's just staying up long enough for me to notice it).
Anyways I'll see what I can do, maybe it will work after all. Thanks again for the help Chris
