Ok. I did two things, and it started working. 1. I went into the kde control panel, disabled - applied - enabled - applied the arts soundsystem. 2. I put the headphone cable into the laptop directly (was in the port in my dock) - it used to work there, so I know that this alone was not the issue. Plus I did this earlier in my troubleshooting process, and it still did not work. Question is, how many different things did I try before I moved the cable this time? Who knows! Now it works, and I don't care why! Thanks Everyone! -C -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
