Hi,
meanwhile I solved the problem with the overlayed keypad. I had to configure:
/etc/X11/xkb/types/extra /etc/X11/xkb/types/basic
To use the config I had to configure my display manager to call the Xserver with the +kb option.
Now I can switch between the keypad and the basic keys on the keyboard. Pressing keys now produces the
expected results.
