it looks like a really good start. one thing that would be nice, though not really laptop specific, would be some sort of easy sound config program like redhat's sndconfig program. laptops often have unusual sound setups and chips and they typically aren't the easist to setup (or even know if there *is* support). something to make this easier would be great. i've heard reports of kluging an install of the sndconfig rpm but nothing that sounded very plesant though people did report sucess using it (was that on this list? i can't remember anymore). adam.
