I've tried this with my DWL-G650, and the module recognizes the card. But how do I get the pcmcia cardmgr to recognize the card and run the networking scripts for me? I tried putting the manfid into /etc/pcmcia/config and .../config-2.4, but that didn't help. Here's what I get in my logs: Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: cs: cb_alloc(bus 7): vendor 0x168c, device 0x0013 Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: PCI: Enabling device 07:00.0 (0000 -> 0002) Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: 11b rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: 11g rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: mac 5.9 phy 4.3 radio 4.6 Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: 802.11 address: 00:11:95:05:18:47 Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: Use hw queue 0 for WME_AC_BE traffic Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: Use hw queue 1 for WME_AC_BK traffic Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: Use hw queue 2 for WME_AC_VI traffic Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: Use hw queue 3 for WME_AC_VO traffic Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: ath0: Atheros 5212: mem=0x21000000, irq=11 Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost cardmgr[12870]: socket 1: CardBus hotplug device Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost pci.agent[14236]: ath_pci: already loaded Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost pci.agent[14236]: yenta_socket: already loaded Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost pci.agent[14236]: 3c59x: already loaded Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost pci.agent[14236]: serial: already loaded Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost pci.agent[14236]: i810_audio: already loaded Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost pci.agent[14236]: usb-uhci: blacklisted Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost kernel: uhci.c: USB Universal Host Controller Interface driver v1.1 Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.28_up.swsusp.6/kernel/drivers/usb/host/uhci.o: init_module: No such device Jan 31 13:28:22 localhost insmod: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
