What about the noise of your 60GB drive? Is the spin noise particularly high pitched or are the head movements rather loud? Somebody off-list told me that about older (~10GB) IBM disks and therefore recommended Samsung drives. If this is no longer true I guess I will stick with IBM due to good reliability I experienced with their drives.
