I had a similiar problem with my ibm thinkpad R40 on acpi. It went to sleep but never did wakeup again. Till 2.6.9 where they suddenly had a /proc/acpi/wakeup file where the kernel knows where to wakeup. I dunno, but maybe it's the same on apm. Or even... if you got acpi, you might want to switch to that. Also... i've made the expierience that no suspend to ram does make any sense on longer off times. I can just recommend swsusp2 from swsusp.sourceforge.net. It's great and just sends your whole ram to your swap space without destroying existing swap data. So you probably want to look at it. Though you still have to patch your kernel for it :/ Hope it helped a bit Greets Martin - - -- Martin Hauser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> GPG-Encrypted mail preferred, KEY: 6DDE273D - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBwwcZQhKguG3eJz0RAvpAAJ9eGGScZhHCQ8EGMhM/SnnDfoLRbACeLp4b vOwrsrxrr0PND/0wxurm9GQ= =XmhR - -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- - ----- End forwarded message ----- - -- Martin Hauser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> GPG-Encrypted mail preferred, KEY: 6DDE273D -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBwwe6QhKguG3eJz0RAgw1AJ9u6zsyKYPCQaES4E1WxWfdSbOPQwCbBgL1 oL46tSvRJ+pMGPn5TDA9hJQ= =voMr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
