Force blast of the fan

hi there,

my laptop has a very stable temperature when under normal load... but when i do
something cpu intensive, the heat goes up about 10°C and then the fan kicks
in... but it never brings the temperature back to what it was before. is there
any way i can force the fan to come on for 30 seconds or so?
