I am trying to get cpufreq working on my laptop. However, the cpufreq
interface in /proc is not available:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -lisa /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/
insgesamt 0

I use the debian package "kernel-image-2.6.6-1-386". When to modprobe
speedstep-centrino, I get:
schlepptop:/home/jens# modprobe -v speedstep-centrino

/lib/modules/2.6.6-1-386/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-centrino.ko
FATAL: Error inserting speedstep_centrino
(/lib/modules/2.6.6-1-386/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-centrino.ko):
No such device
Isn't that the right module for centrinos (Pentium M)?
CPU throttling using acpi seems to work though:
schlepptop:/home/jens# cat /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/throttling

T2: 25%

Any suggestions?
