I haven't had a chance to upgrade it yet. It's still running 2.4.25-1-386. Upgrading to XFree 4.3 from unstable did the trick. The Device section is the same one I quoted for my Debian system in my original message. I'm not really sure why it worked, but it did. Thanks for all the help!
