I did that, via dpkg-reconfigure console-data. Didn´t change much.

I chose a 101 key keyboard. Is there a complete list somewhere? The 101 works
better than the 104, but I still get some weird characters, especially on
upper case R and the like. And when shifting numbers. E.g. & will come out &!
and so on.

I did that as well. I also went the hard way and edited the refresh rates etc.
Still the thing (Trident Cyber 9525) boots up in 800x600, although the display
handles 1024x768.

Any other ideas?
