:-) Well, the trident fb driver in 2.4.20 works for me, but I don't use it as a module. I have it built in the kernel. I seem to recall that you have to enable the "experimental" prompts on the kernel build configuration to be able to compile the trident fb driver. In lilo.conf I use the following append for the fb-enabled kernel image section: video=trident:800x600,bpp=16,center,fp It works very nice. fbi, dvifb, etc. run flawlessly. Even mplayer -vo fbdev (no acceleration, though). All that being said, note now that currently I'm not using fb because of one of the swsusp issues I mentioned. As I said, when X gets confused by swsusp, sometimes I can fix it by switching to a text console and back. When using fb the card never leaves graphic mode, not even if I stop X entirely. Then this "fix" won't kick in, and I have to reboot. To disable fb I just remove the video=... append in lilo.conf. -CR -- Ceterum censeo: SCO delenda est. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
