I'm trying to get a GNET/GVC PCMCIA 56k modem to work under linux: Model: GPCM-56/AMC (MQ4FM560) Kernel: 2.4.22, using in kernel pcmcia modules. Compiled from source. Debian pcmcia-cs userspace utils, version 3.2.2-1.2
When I insert it, I get one high beep, and one low beep. Here are the messages I get in my log file: cardmgr[352]: socket 1: Serial or Modem cardmgr[352]: executing: 'modprobe serial_cs' kernel: isapnp: Scanning for PnP cards... kernel: isapnp: No Plug & Play device found kernel: Serial driver version 5.05c (2001-07-08) with MANY_PORTS SHARE_IRQ SERIAL_PCI ISAPNP enabled kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:1f.6 kernel: PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 00:1f.5 kernel: PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 02:03.0 cardmgr[352]: get dev info on socket 1 failed: No such device kernel: register_serial(): autoconfig failed kernel: serial_cs: register_serial() at 0x03f8, irq 3 failed The GVC website http://www.gvc.ca/cgi-bin/display.cgi?displayProd=37 says that the card works under linux, and I also read this elsewhere on the web, but I haven't had any luck. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
