Might very well be that. As you can see, I use orinoco 0.13e. I had problems with earlier versions (those comming with various kernel versions). See: http://ozlabs.org/people/dgibson/dldwd/ for a more recent hermes/orinoco driver. > on restarting pcmcia i get the following error > error in config line 1091: no ID method for "Belkin" > > i have a line in config that says > Card "Belkin" > manfid the rihgt numbers > bind "orinoco_cs" > > what does your /etc/pcmcia/config say with respect to Your card? (this one needs 0.13e) card "D-Link DWL-650" version "D", "Link DWL-650 11Mbps WLAN Card" manfid 0x0156, 0x0002 bind "orinoco_cs" but this one (D-Link DWL-660): card "Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter" manfid 0x0156, 0x0002 bind "orinoco_cs" is happy with 0.11b. YMMV. Cheers, Cristian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
