Touch Pad And X

I got a Dell Latitude CPi 366XT with a internal PS/2-compatible touch-pad i have set the protocoll in XF86Config to PS/2 but when i startx and moves the cursor it gets right out of the screen and then starts to fiddle around in the down left corner clicking all the time etc, what protocol shall i use?   Best Regards Jon Lachmann
