Hi Roman, I have got an IEEE1394 -> IDE case with a cheap CD-writer. It works perfectly. As any other drive on IEEE1394 (or USB) it behaves like a regular SCSI drive (a /dev/scd device is created) That means You can use cdrecord as usual. For IEEE1394 You need ieee1394, ohci1394 and sbp2 as modules or compiled in, for USB usb_storage.
