This shouldn't be a problem because my laptop is an IBM A31p which means P4-M 2.0GHz and an Intel i845 chipset.
And I know this configuration works because to of my friends have the same notebook and it works just fine there. But we were not able to figure out what's the difference between their machines and mine.
