keyboard info

I don't know how to find out what the keys on the top of my computer are for, they are small keys and they all begin with 'F', where in the world can I find a simple instruction to tell me how to use these keys? All i need to know is where to find the degrees key and when I find out that I know I will find out many other things. J.G.
