Hi, I had the same problem with my TP600 and NM chip. Now I don't use svgatextmode at all. Just add a line to /etc/lilo.conf, like vga 791 This is 1204x768, 16bpp. (see the table below) Video Modes 640x480 800x600 1024x768 1280x1024 8 bpp (256 colors) 769 771 773 775 16 bpp (64K colors) 785 788 791 794 32 bpp (16M colors) 786 789 792 795
Don't forget to use /sbin/lilo.
