Hi all
Almost a month later, finally I got the new XFree 4.2, but it's not working as I expected... If I configure Xfree with driver "vesa" everything works fine, but if I try to use driver "trident" it seems to just turn off the LCD!! I can't even use the console anymore (althought it seems to be working, since I could blind login and shutdown!). What's the trick? I tried to run only Xfree as : XFree86 -xf86config XF86Config-4-test &>error.log and got this: (WW) TRIDENT(0): Failed to set up write-combining range (0xf5000000,0x400000) ah... the config file has: Driver "trident" VendorName "Trident" BoardName "CyberBlade/DSTN/i7" BusID "PCI:1:0:0" On Monday 03 June 2002 15:24, kiss the sun and walk on air wrote: > On Mon, Jun 03, 2002 at 03:19:43PM -0300, Christian Lyra wrote: > > Althought I use Debian Unstable, I think XFree 4.2 was not in .debs > > yet... > > > > :-(.
