hi, have a little (big) problem on my Laptop (Samsung GT8000 german version)
afaik this laptop has a ESS Technology Soundchip.. lspci -v: 00:0c.0 Multimedia audio controller: ESS Technology: Unknown device 199a Subsystem: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd: Unknown device 3260 Flags: medium devsel I/O ports at 1400 Memory at e8000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) Capabilities: [c0] Power Management version 2 ok, so i loadet the maestro3 modul (kernel 2.2.19, Netinstall) and there comes up strange things ! (i think, ugly-strange :D) with no options: output output output maestro3: unable to allocate irq 0, maestro3: 0 maestros installed /lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/maestro3.o: init_module: Device or resource busy ok ok.. but there is sound.. it beeps lout, very hight (like a trinitous) and in the background there is in low volume the normal sound, but that ISNT good ..(oh that sounds very crazy...) anyone knows about that ? i didnt try it with newer kernels (no time) sry for my bad eng.
