Just installed my new 2715 beast. It works quite good with woody. A few secondary problems:
* Ethernet card (eepro100) works only with e100-source pkg or current 2.4.18 kernel stock module. This can be a problem in installation by net: woody bootfloppies come with kernel 2.2.20. I personally installed sid using an additional PCMCIA pcnet card. * ATI Mobility Radeon M6 LY is not supported in accel mode under X 4.1.0 You can use radeon frambuffer/dri mode (1400x1050). It's not a runner, but it works. You can wait for next 4.2.0 package. Or compile on your own the current xfree86, which works with that new chipset. Branden probably will release 4.2.0 after woody release. This is true for 1700 series also. * M-Systems Disk-on-chip requires a custom 2.4 kernel. Those modules are not built in the current woody/sid stock kernel. Not tried. * Builtin modem is Conexant HSF Should work with Conexant module. Not tried. * ACPI is the usual pain. All other devices work great. -- Francesco P. Lovergine -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
