I don't know who I did my good deed for this week, but someone smiled upon me and I: (a) downloaded the hermes.conf file [1] from the URL kindly supplied by Caleb Shay (thanks Caleb!) (b) saved it in my /etc/pcmcia directory as hermes.conf (c) /etc/init.d/pcmcia restart and then: (d) it "just worked" :-) In the process I guess I learned two things: (1) /etc/pcmcia/config includes *.conf at the bottom of the file and (2) the priority of entries configured seems that later entries override earlier ones. Both sensible, but nice to know little tidbits :-) Regards, Andrew.
