lspci thinks my laptop has 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage Mobility M3 AGP 2x (rev 02) /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 contains Section "Device" Identifier "Card0" Driver "ati" VendorName "ATI" BoardName "Rage 128 Mobility LF" BusID "PCI:1:0:0" EndSection So, it looks like I'm using the ATI driver; it works fine for me. It's also worth noting that my laptop (a Dell Latitude C600) has a non-standard 1400x1050 display, so I need Modeline "1400x1050" 108.000 1400 1448 1462 1688 1050 1050 1053 1066 in the monitor section for this to work correctly (that line snarfed from an XF86Config file in a Dell-provided RPM). -- David Maze [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://people.debian.org/~dmaze/ "Theoretical politics is interesting.
