I use both gold and silver cards with a Orinoco RG 1000 here at home (using one right now with a IBM ThinkPad T21) with a 2.4.17 kernel and the orinoco_cs hermes drives with great results. I have been quite happy with the hermes orinoco_cs drivers since I made the switch back at 2.4.5 or somewhere.
I did have an issue which Jean Tourhilles helped with as well as David Gibson. INitially, I had used the orinoco wavelan drivers which required patching the pcmcia-cs sources. When I decided to switch over, I still had renegade wavelan_cs drivers in my /etc/pcmcia/config file. I went through that file carefully and commented those entries and the card was picked right up! It also works quite well across suspend/resume events on this T21 laptop. -- Michael Perry | "Do or do not; there is no try" Master Yoda [EMAIL PROTECTED] | http://www.lnxpowered.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
