Linux on a Toshiba S3000-504

HI all:   I'm trying to install woody on my Toshiba Satellite 3000-504. I boot from the CD (which is a DVD/CD-RW) and it freezes after detecting the HD and the CD drive. I think it might be connected to the fact that I cannot use the floppy drive together with the CD drive (seems to me that it freezes when it's trying to find the floppy drive).   Any ideas?   Thanks in advance   Pedro Antonio Neves
