Perhaps you want to use -g<width>x<height> instead of -sPAPERSIZE?
(<width> and <height> are in pixels).
So, let's see... you would get the bounding box, calculate the width and
height (this is in points) divide by 72 (?) to get inches, and then
multiply by the resolution to get pixels.
Probably could get a Perl script to do the calculation, using the output
of "gs -sDEVICE=bbox".
