I installed potato on my Dell latitude LSt a month or two ago. Everything
works well except for the sound card. This is a NM256, for which there is
a module which works on other laptops. On the LSt it causes a kernel
lock-up. The only fix I have heard of is to shell out for the Commercial
OSS package and it would be nicer to fix it with open source software. I
have hacked a bit myself and looked round the web a bit (details at
http://www.met.ed.ac.uk/~hcp/lst.html) but with no success.
So, has anyone else got the sound card to work on this model?
Many thanks
Hugh
