Display errors on Sony Viao

Hi All,
While trying to run the startx my system errors as follows:
X: exec of /etc/X11/X failed
xinit: Connection refused ( errno 111 ): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error
Please help!!!!
