Les remerciements vont aux nombreaux bénévoles et parrains de ce projet. Debian 6 « Squeeze » a reçu plus de 200 mises à jour de sécurité depuis le début de l'extension de sa prise en charge. Les paquets les plus utilisés ont été corrigés régulièrement et de nombreuses organisations peuvent donc en toute sécurité compter sur cette prise en charge prolongée de Squeeze LTS. </p> <p> Au vu de cette expérience, nous sommes sûrs que Debian 7 « Wheezy » and Debian 8 « Jessie » vont aussi bénéficier d'une prise en charge à long terme. </p> <p> Cependante, certaines restrictions ont été appliquées à ce qui est couvert par la prise en charge à long terme de Squeeze. Par exemple, seules les architectures PC x86 (amd64 et i386) sont prises en charge et <a href="http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/debian-security-support.git/plain/security-support-ended.deb6";>certains paquets pourtant populaires</a> ne sont pas pris en charge. Par exemple, vous ne pouvez pas faire tourner un dom0 Xen ou un hôte KVM avec Squeeze, et il n'y a pas de prise en charge de navigateurs graphiques.
