Salut les amis, ca fait un moment que je ne m'occupe plus de traduction dans debian, mais je suis tombé sur cette initiative qui m'a l'air très sympa, et je voulais la porter à votre connaissance. Disclamer, je n'ai pas été voir la réalisation, mais l'idée en elle même me semble vraiment super, déjà. Techniquement tout à fait possible, et vraiment utile.
L'auteur de l'initiative est en CC, et il m'a dit vouloir la faire connaître. Si vous pouviez faire passer le mots aux autres groupes de traducteurs libres (dans debian et au delà), ca serait super. Genre, je suis sûr que vous avez des contacts chez les traducteurs de kde et gnome, n'est ce pas ? Sinon, je ne participe plus à l'effort de guerre, mais j'apprécie tous les jours la qualité de votre travail. Bravo, continuez ainsi, c'est vraiment super. Bye, Mt. The OSTD ( http://littlesvr.ca/ostd/ ) is an automatic translations system - it will take your .POT file and populate it with translations based on strings in other open source software, generating .PO files. Given that you can see which software the strings come from - this will be much more accurate than other automatic translation systems such as Google Translate. I just started the project so there is a lot of polish still coming, and some significant features such as updating existing .PO files and a web service interface for other software to use.
