Yikes. The effect is the same at the Linux console and that's indeed crazy because this is absolutely new....:-( The current behaviour fo the fr-latin9 keymap at the Linux console in unstable is really mad. Just try it, you'll see. So, it really seems that your proposed fix should be done also for console use. Denis, I know you have resigned officially, but I know also that you will not leave us in the merde...:-). Could you give your advice about this bug. Other french l10n people, your advice is welcomed also.
