Package: src:linux Version: 3.2.68-1+deb7u1 Severity: normal When booting the deb7 3.2 kernel with this device attached, the kernel crashed when loading the required modules. Won't even respond to AltSysRq. dvb_usb_pctv452e seems to be the main culprit. After compiling the LinuxTV modules it boots and uses the device. At some point earlier in the 3.2 series the kernel would see the device, even attempt to load the module, but the device was not usable, still the kernel would at least load. Now upgrading the kernel means: upgrade, detach, reboot, compile LinuxTV.org, reboot, re-attach. Plus, the crash occurs *after* md got in which means you have to hard reset a system with active md devices if you have any.
