Package: src:linux Version: 3.2.60-1+deb7u3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Since upgrade to Debian 7, I sometimes find that the system is suspended (?) and when I try to wake it up it does not come back up. That is, the power light is flashing, the screen is blank, and it is silent. If I press any key, the disks spin up, and the screen shows a flashing line text cursor in the upper-left corner. It doesn't respond to any input other than that, so I have to turn the power off and on again. The system never goes to suspend when I'm logged in, only when other family- members are logged in. The only log entry I can find at about the likely time of suspend for today is in "kern.log"... Oct 11 10:54:53 huitzil kernel: [143518.747118] PM: Syncing filesystems ... done. Thus it's possible I'm seeing the same problem as #733088, but I'm not sure. "dmesg" output below is from the reboot _after_ the failed resume. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 3.2.0-4-686-pae (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.6.3 (Debian 4.6.3-14) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.2.60-1+deb7u3 ** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.2.0-4-686-pae root=/dev/mapper/huitzil-lvRoot ro quiet ** Not tainted ** Kernel log: [ 8.009120] EXT3-fs (dm-0): 7 orphan inodes deleted [ 8.009124] EXT3-fs (dm-0): recovery complete [ 8.066328] EXT3-fs (dm-0): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode [ 9.993593] udevd[357]: starting version 175 [ 10.634680] input: Power Button as /devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXSYBUS:00/PNP0A03:00/PNP0C0C:00/input/input1 [ 10.634692] ACPI: Power Button [PWRB] [ 10.634846] input: Power Button as /devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXPWRBN:00/input/input2 [ 10.634856] ACPI: Power Button [PWRF] [ 10.648991] ACPI: Requesting acpi_cpufreq [ 11.030410] input: PC Speaker as /devices/platform/pcspkr/input/input3 [ 11.189178] ACPI: resource 0000:00:1f.3 [io 0x3080-0x309f] conflicts with ACPI region SMB0 [io 0x3080-0x3097] [ 11.189185] ACPI: If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should use it instead of the native driver [ 11.228926] udevd[421]: renamed network interface eth0 to rename2 [ 11.265090] udevd[413]: renamed network interface eth1 to eth0 [ 11.296684] udevd[421]: renamed network interface rename2 to eth1 [ 11.386690] parport_pc 00:0d: reported by Plug and Play ACPI [ 11.386777] parport0: PC-style at 0x378 (0x778), irq 7 [PCSPP,TRISTATE] [ 11.481223] tpm_tis 00:0e: [irq 10] [ 11.481244] tpm_tis 00:0e: [mem 0xfed40000-0xfed40fff] [ 11.481557] tpm_tis 00:0e: activated [ 11.481899] tpm_tis 00:0e: 1.2 TPM (device-id 0xFE, rev-id 3) [ 11.507727] intel_rng: FWH not detected [ 11.544582] [drm] Initialized drm 1.1.0 20060810 [ 11.978474] iTCO_vendor_support: vendor-support=0 [ 12.028347] iTCO_wdt: Intel TCO WatchDog Timer Driver v1.07 [ 12.028558] iTCO_wdt: Found a ICH7 or ICH7R TCO device (Version=2, TCOBASE=0x1060) [ 12.029466] iTCO_wdt: initialized. heartbeat=30 sec (nowayout=0) [ 12.087630] leds_ss4200: no LED devices found [ 12.126652] i915 0000:00:02.0: setting latency timer to 64 [ 12.163448] [drm] Supports vblank timestamp caching Rev 1 (10.10.2010).
