Package: src:linux Version: 3.14.15-2 Severity: important Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
I'm using an ASUS T100TA shipped with a Hynix HBG4e 32GB SSD. This SSD has an RPMB partition which is not correctly managed by the Linux kernel. This is the lsblk issued from a live system on usb disk, showing my internal SSD with custom partitions for dual-boot with Windows: $ lsblk NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT [...] mmcblk0rpmb 179:24 0 4M 0 disk mmcblk0boot0 179:8 0 4M 1 disk mmcblk0boot1 179:16 0 4M 1 disk mmcblk0 179:0 0 29,1G 0 disk -mmcblk0p1 179:1 0 100M 0 part -mmcblk0p2 179:2 0 700M 0 part -mmcblk0p3 179:3 0 128M 0 part -mmcblk0p4 179:4 0 17G 0 part -mmcblk0p5 179:5 0 9,2G 0 part -mmcblk0p6 179:6 0 2G 0 part (the partitions mmcblk0p1-p4 are the default partitions of the T100TA). During the entire uptime of the system, error messages appear again and again, as shown below in the Kernel log section. Due to these errors the debian installation procedure, the boot of the system and in general every operation on the SSD can fail or be extremely slow and last more than 10 minutes, making the system almost unusable. Thank you for your attention. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 3.14-2-amd64 (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.8.3 (Debian 4.8.3-7) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.14.15-2
