Hi, according to <https://packages.debian.org/wheezy-backports/linux-image-amd64>, linux-image-amd64 currently depends on *both* linux-image-3.13-0.bpo.1-amd64 [amd64] and linux-image-3.14-0.bpo.1-amd64 [i386], which breaks the upgrade for me:
kos:~# aptitude -t wheezy-backports -V install linux-image-amd64 The following NEW packages will be installed: linux-image-amd64{b} [3.14+57~bpo70+1] 0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 152 not upgraded. Need to get 6,014 B of archives. After unpacking 38.9 kB will be used. The following packages have unmet dependencies: linux-image-amd64 : Depends: linux-image-3.14-0.bpo.1-amd64 which is a virtual package. The following actions will resolve these dependencies: Keep the following packages at their current version: 1) linux-image-amd64 [Not Installed] Best regards, Horst -- PGP-Key 0xD40E0E7A
