Source: linux Version: 3.13.7-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
While reproducing the bug #735202 [1] I discovered that speakup completely stopped to paste under certain circumstances. Here are the steps to reproduce: - boot kernel 3.13.7-1 from unstable - login as root - modprobe speakup_soft (a working speech is not necessary to reproduce the bug, so I skip loading espeakup service here) - type the following, using numeric keyboard for numbers and slash: a1// now you have the "a" character in the paste buffer and you can repeatedly paste this letter through kp_Ins + /. This works. - cat while being inside cat speakup paste does not work, although "paste" word may be heard when sound is enabled. This accompanies pasting under normal conditions. - type C-z to leave cat, paste works again Expected behaviour: paste should work also inside cat command. Remark: pasting works inside cat when all is done inside screen.
