Moreover Xorg does not find the right screen resolution (1024x768 instead of 1024x600). On IRC, someone suggested me to uncomment GRUB_TERMINAL=console in /etc/default/grub. This workarounds the aforementioned issue. It might be not related to i915. Apologies for wrong diagnosis. -- Cyprien/Fulax
