Actually it does not seem so simple now. The patchset is large and I've realised it does not all apply against 3.2.x. That complicates my testing, and perhaps the ability to backport it to stable kernels. I think the specific location of this deadlock needs to be identified or at least narrowed down a bit first. (Assuming it is in only one place, which it maybe isn't).
