The same phenomenon persist in the newly released stable, Wheezy. The version 3.2.41-2 on linux-image-3.2.0-4-686-pae still leaves the screen blank and keyboard locked after resume from suspend.
Suspend worked perfectly with all Squeeze kernels, last similar problems were with Lenny.
