Package: src:linux-2.6 Severity: normal Tags: upstream patch Some newer desktop motherboards, including my ASUS P8Z77-V LE and at least some other ASUS Z77-based ones, contain a NCT6779D sensor which isn't supported by the w83627ehf driver or any other kernel driver. There is a working driver at https://github.com/groeck/nct6775 (last time submitted for reviewing at http://lists.lm-sensors.org/pipermail/lm- sensors/2012-December/037817.html ). It "will replace the w83627ehf driver for NCT6775F and NCT6776F, and provides support for NCT6779D".
Here is its output on my system: nct6779-isa-0290 Adapter: ISA adapter in0: +0.94 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +1.74 V) in1: +1.01 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in2: +3.41 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in3: +3.41 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in4: +1.02 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in5: +2.04 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in6: +0.29 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in7: +3.42 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in8: +3.38 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in9: +1.06 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in10: +0.22 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in11: +0.18 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in12: +0.18 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in13: +0.18 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM in14: +0.18 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM fan1: 873 RPM (min = 0 RPM) fan2: 581 RPM (min = 0 RPM) fan3: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM) fan4: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM) fan5: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM) SYSTIN: +32.0°C (high = +0.0°C, hyst = +0.0°C) ALARM sensor = thermistor CPUTIN: +36.5°C (high = +80.0°C, hyst = +75.0°C) sensor = thermistor AUXTIN0: +102.0°C sensor = thermistor AUXTIN1: +102.0°C sensor = thermistor AUXTIN2: +102.0°C sensor = thermistor AUXTIN3: +8.0°C sensor = thermal diode PCH_CHIP_CPU_MAX_TEMP: +0.0°C PCH_CHIP_TEMP: +0.0°C PCH_CPU_TEMP: +0.0°C PCH_MCH_TEMP: +0.0°C cpu0_vid: +0.000 V intrusion0: ALARM intrusion1: ALARM See also e.g. http://lists.lm-sensors.org/pipermail/lm- sensors/2012-May/036187.html and http://lists.lm-sensors.org/pipermail/lm- sensors/2012-June/036285.html -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.8.0-rc3-wrar-1+ (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
