Hi! I'm experiencing the same issue as described in the original post:
The system completes the shutdown process, all hardware lights are off, but then somehow it restarts. I reproduced this on the following 3.2.0 linux-image packages(Debian Wheezy 32-bit): 3.2.0-2-amd64 3.2.0-4-amd64 3.2.0-4-686-pae Shutdown is OK on 2.6.32-5-686 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem Attached is output of reportbug --template linux-image-$(uname -r) -- BYE!
