Correct. I was simply upgrading and not seeing a usable vt console screen after the upgrade. It was a 60/40 snow/white unusable display. If it had worked then I would have stopped there. I am currently recreating the Squeeze installation and then will recreate the upgrade to Wheezy. Then will later try a pristine Wheezy installation.
