I have (running now without problems) Linux version 3.2.0-3-686-pae (Debian 
3.2.23-1)

The problems occur when running Linux version 3.2.0-4-686-pae ...
I assume this is the version 3.2.30-1 cited above.

I obviously can boot either.

I will try to get this later on. Did not see anything illuminating looking at 
syslog.
