Just curious to hear what happened with this. Do you still have access to this system, and if so, what kernel do you use? Does a 3.5.y kernel from experimental reproduce the same sound trouble? Does a 2.6.32.y kernel from squeeze (it should work fine on a wheezy/sid system) avoid it? Any other new observations?
